I am Sadie Wilson. I love playing basketball at my 1A school in rural Texas where I have earned multiple district titles, made it to the top 16 in the state last year and regionals this year with 1st team all district and defensive MVP recognition. I live on a farm with my family and a menagerie of animals, I love animals! I am no stranger to early mornings, hard work, critical thinking, problem solving and overcoming unexpected and unfavorable outcomes. Although I've had some incredible coaches and trainers I contribute my love and success in basketball to my mom. She pushed me to sign up for my local youth league in the 3rd grade and I've been hooked since and she's been there every step of the way to support me. I fractured my L4/L5 my freshman year at regionals but worked hard with my physical therapist and trainers to come back stronger and better. I have battled asthma my whole life but with amazing doctors and medical advances I have learned to manage day to day life and excel at sports!
I'm a happy go lucky person and always have a smile to share. Off the court I'm quiet and reserved but on the court I'm comfortable and confident! I am fast, agile, competitive, compassionate and upbeat. I would say I'm a fast learner, very attentive and coachable. I love to talk up my teammates and am driven to succeed. I was given the nickname C.H.A.O.S. (creating havoc and offensive success) by my high school coach. I would love to continue playing basketball after highschool at any and all levels possible. I plan on majoring in animal science and health, specifically Equine Health although I have also considered pursuing coaching when my playing career is over to stay active in the sport I love.
