I first started playing basketball in the third grade, but I didn’t find my true passion for it until the 5th grade while playing with the YMCA league. Through basketball I learned that I am a true leader and that once you put your mind to something, the sky is the limit. I had to learn how to gain and work through every obstacle with mental toughness. The mental part of the game is highly overlooked, but it makes a difference when taking your game to the next level. My family has taught me the true meaning of being a leader and holding your head up, even when things do not go your way.
My academic goals for college are to attend a highly challenging academic program that will lead me to a field to be influential and showcase my leadership abilities. My most unique skill is being able to bring individuals together for a shared goal. I am truly excited for what my future holds, academically and athletically!
