I am a 5'2” Junior point guard currently playing basketball. I am currently attending Wiley College . I am truly thankful for the opportunity that I have to play college basketball. I am a physical team player with quickness defensively and offensively. My specialty is my defense. I'm seeking a college of any size to complete my final two years of college with a good academic and athletic program who needs a very energetic, hardworking, and coachable point guard that is fired up and ready to go. I feel if given the chance I can be a true asset to any team. I feel I am a good candidate for any team because I am a hard worker, quick learner, I am coachable, I will do what ever I need to help the team, I have the heart, drive, and determination to be the best that I can be for my team and myself. I would like to be able to play for a coach who will continue to push me to be the best I can be.
I am aware that no average person gets the chance to play basketball at the college level and I have pushed myself, trained, worked as hard as I could to get to where I am today. By no means am I saying that I still don't have work to do, or I can't improve even more. My goal has always been to be able to play on the next level, while being able to get my degree in criminal justice or coaching. I strive to use my quickness to make up for my height and I am not afraid to get in there and take the foul or rebound. I have been underestimated my entire career because of my height, but I just continue to use that as motivation to succeed.
For my first semester in college I have just been told I have made the Dean’s List. I am the type of player that will give my all on the court and off the court. I am also very active in other curricular activities outside of sports. One of my favorite things that I like to do when I’m not at school or in basketball, is giving back to my community. I work with my dad’s AAU team as his assistant coach. I also help with skill training. In the future I see myself around sports in some capacity. My major is Criminal Justice. I would like to be a field investigator for the FBI, CIA, NCIS or some branch of the federal government. I am also thinking about coaching, but I'm still leaning towards criminal justice. I know without my grades, I wouldn't be in the position that I am. I would like to thank my parents for what they have instilled in me, about my grades and how important they are, about never quitting, or being the best I can be whether I'm on the court for 2 minutes or a whole game. I also thank my mom and dad for teaching me that I can do anything that I put my mind to.
