Some of my earliest memories involve playing basketball with my two older brothers. I developed a passion for the sport at the age of 6, joining my first team, and have continued to play on multiple club, travel, and school teams since then. Over the years, I have devoted many hours to private lessons. I love basketball because it is a way for me to improve not only my physical ability but also mentally. It encourages me to do well in school and just be a better person overall.
Throughout the many years I have played basketball, I have gained valuable lessons in teamwork. Being on a team means building strong friendships, pushing each other to do your best, and supporting each other through wins and losses.
As a point guard, it is my responsibility to read the floor and use my playmaking abilities to set my teammates and myself up for success. I am a sharp shooter and can hit open shots but can also create different opportunities for my team and I on the offensive side of the floor. On defense, I am good at reading and jumping passes and can force turnovers onto the other team.
