Mariah Owen '14 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Mariah Owen. I am currently a sophmore at Rising Star High School. I have loved the game of basketball ever since i picked up a ball in pee wee basketball. I am a Varsity starting point guard. I plan to to play at the College level and maybe even farther. I am good about dishing passes to the post and always see the whole court. Defense is also very sound, quick on my feet and read the defense without a problem. I am 5'4, short yes, but i have a great vertical, and out rebound posts 50% of the time. Good ball handling skills and can move the ball down the floor and am great about breaking presses. Overall i just have a spectacular understanding of the game. I love the game and always will. I would llike to go to a college with a good Womens basketball program but also academic program. I am not sure what i want to major in yet but i have a strong feeling that coaching is definetly in my future.
