Samiah Baker '26 Recruiting Profile

My goal is to play four years of college basketball at the highest level. I would like to help contribute to a winning program and get a great education at the same time. I have spent the majority of my life training, playing and studying the game of basketball and I believe that I would be a phenomenal asset and key contributor wherever I go. 

I have a high IQ for the game. I'm very good handling the ball under pressure, I have a defense-first mindset, I am an excellent shooter and I am a student of the game. I'm extremely efficient with an excellent assist to turnover ratio and pride myself in making good decisions. I'm not tall, but I ALWAYS box out. I believe in doing whatever it takes to win a ball game. If I'm not scoring, I will find a way to contribute to the team. I have pride in all aspects of the game. Lastly, I work intensely on my game in practice and in the off season. I don't know if this makes me different, but what makes me stand out is that I'm a team first player. As a guard, I can score, but I will do whatever it takes to win. Team victories over individual success always. 

I'm a very efficient basketball player and I am consistent.
