Macy Helmick '24 Recruiting Profile

I fell in love with the game of basketball from the first moment I picked up the ball in kindergarden. Basketball has gave me the ability to push through adversity and work hard for my goals and aspirations.  Ever since I picked up a basketball, I have been working hard towards my dream to play the game in college and at the highest level. Every time I step on that court, I promise to leave all of my heart and effort on that court to help me and my team to reach their fullest potential. I understand the hard work it takes to play at this level and I am willing to put in that work to continue my basketball career in college. I have played aau basketball since the 4th grade and started varsity as a freshman and a sophomore.  I take pride in hustling, never giving up, and playing the best defense I can give. Not only do I take time putting in work on the court, but I also take pride in my school work. I have taken college classes, honors classes and a couple ap classes as a sophomore.  It would mean so much to me if I could further my basketball career for 4 more years, and pursue a degree in physical therapy academically.
