Shanda Post '13 Recruiting Profile

          Hi my name is Shanda Post, I attend Lander Valley High School and I am 5' 8'' and 140 pounds. Being the second youngest in my grade (2013) I started Varsity my freshman year; at 14 years of age. This will be my third year starting varsity as a point guard. I believe that drive, dedication, eagerness to learn and competitivness has gotten me to where I am now. I find motivating my team mates to be one of my strengths and I do everything I can to win. I work on my game year a round by making the gym my home. I work with a personal trainer in the summer, attend tournaments and camps in the summer and shoot around in the mornings before school. The camps that I travel to are both individual and team camps. I have received shooting, defensive, skills, MVP, and all star awards at these camps. 

          The accomplishments that I value so far are starting varsity as a freshman, receiving All-Conference and All-County as a sophomore, being chosen as athlete of the month, receiving the sportsmanship award, placing 4th at state volleyball last year, getting All State in track and earning my Academic letter. The only sport that I did not letter in my freshman year was volleyball. Last year in basketball I averaged 13.5 points per game, 9.4 rebounds a game, 3.1 assists a game and 2.2 steals per game. I was the 4th leading rebounder in the state and 3rd in the 3A West Conference.

          My academic goals are to maintain my GPA and to continue working hard in all of my classes. My athletic goals are to win state in Volleyball, Basketball and Track, and to receive All- Conference and All State in all three sports. My ultimate goal in life is to play college basketball and to win a National Championship. I do not want my basketball career to end after high school.  I pride myself in giving 100% at every game, every practice and in all of my classes. My philosophy is to leave it all on the court and to never have any regrets.
