Samantha Peterson '23 Recruiting Profile

I am a perfect balance of hard work and fun.  Everything I set my mind to incorporates these two traits.  When I was 7-10 , I played USTA  tournament tennis and was ranked top 25 in the state.  I trained and traveled and met great players,, but was missing a team spirit.  I found indoor volleyball at 10 and was hooked instantly.  At age 12, I  added summer beach to my training. At that moment, I knew that I’d found the sport that embodied my personality.  As of 2020, I committed to full beach focus.  Beach volleyball is the hardest training I’ve ever done that never seems like work.  Every time I step on the sand I am 100% in.  It is my outlet, my refuge and my happy place.  It is the perfect balance to my intense academic load, part-time job and youth outreach.  I am the recruit that will bring energy, fun and a consistent desire to learn & work hard.
