Sophia Ferrara '25 Recruiting Profile

My name is Sophia Ferrara and I am going into my junior year at Methuen High School in Methuen, Massachusetts. I am currently pursuing a challenging course load heavy in sciences with the goal to become a Physical Therapist or a nurse. Before diving, I was a competitive gymnast since the age of five. I was training level 9 in the summer of 2022 but moved to the excel Diamond program once I began diving. Though I still compete on the high school gymnastics team, I retired from club gymnastics in order to focus on my training both as a swimmer and a diver.  My first experience on the board was competing for the Bradford Swim Club Team in the summer of 2022.  I went on to complete my first high school season last year where I placed 1st place in my division for MVC, 10th in North Sectionals, and 15th in the State. This past summer I trained with Mary Ellen Clark at the Olympic Dream Dive Camp.  I am a passionate athlete and student who is committed to the hard work that it takes to achieve my dream to one day compete for a college swim and dive team.
