Personal Statement
I’m Jacqueline Rendall a unique individual dedicated to her craft as well as her education. I spend my time at school and the golf course. My life revolves around golf, school, and my family. I’m strong willed and take pleasure in motivating my fellow teammates to succeed. I have spent the better part of the last five years dedicating myself to the difficult game of golf. While it has been a struggle unlike any other, I have had some of my best memories on a golf course, including getting a hole in one in a tournament at the age of 13. Being able to compete for my high school team has been incredible as I have been able to meet some of the most amazing people who have the same passion for golf as I do and understand its challenging love. That’s why I would love the chance to play in college and continue what has already been a wonderful experience with the sport. Competing at the next level would provide the competitive nature that I love and a new opportunity that I never could have imagined.
My father introduced what has become the greatest thing in the world to me, golf. Golf is a passion I have and will never give up no matter how many times my swing doesn’t do what I want it to. It’s a rush to be able to swing a driver and watch the ball fly down the middle of the fairway, to see a tee shot land next to the hole on a per three, or to sink a long putt. Through golf I have learned that I never quit no matter how challenging something is. I’ve learned that it’s okay to get upset because it only shows how much you care. Lastly, I’ve learned that no matter how much help you get in this world your success is your own and is based only on you and how hard you work for something. Nothing in this world comes easy and golf is just another thing that solidifies that ideal. It’s a sport that requires patience and dedication and those who don’t possess either will have an extremely hard time on and off the course.
