Hi, my name is Leyni! I am a junior at Prospect Ridge Academy.
Setting goals, and crushing them is a crucial part of my life, both inside and outside of sports. During my freshman year, my goal was to be a competitive golfer and make the varsity team. With practice, lessons and commitment, not only did I make the varsity team but I qualified individually to compete in the Colorado 3A State Golf Tournament. In my Sophomore year, I again made the varsity team, took 4th place in the 3A State Regional qualifier, and helped my team team win second place in the 3A Colorado State Championship. During that season I broke the 80's shooting a 77 in tournament play and brought my scoring average down 15 strokes from the previous year. Heading into to my junior and senior years my goals are to keep improving, to be a leader on my team, and earn my spot to play with the top level competitors in the state and be among the top finishers at every tournament.
Looking ahead to college, I know I want to attend a school where I can get a great education, have meaningful experiences, make life-long friends and continue to grow and compete with other talented people.
