Personal Statement

My name is Sian Hoctor. I am originally from Dublin, Ireland but I now live in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. I am currently a junior at Jupiter High School and a member of the Girls Varsity Golf Team. I have a 4.0 GPA with a 4.7 HPA. I am extremely passionate about the game of golf and have been playing since I was 6 years old. My handicap index right now is a 13.5 and I am focusing on bringing it even lower. At the present I am the Captain of my team, and I love building confidence in my teamates. We are not the best school team out there, but we all enjoy the game and love learning its many life lessons. I would want nothing more than to play golf in college. Golf is my love and passion, and I aspire to one day play on the LPGA.

Since my Freshman year in high school (2010-2012) the Varsity Girls Golf Team has practiced at the golf club of Jupiter .The school course isn't in the best condition. We practice off of mats and there isn't a chipping area. I prefer to practice at Bear Lakes Country Club where I am a member
