Personal Statement
I am a self-taught athlete in the sport of golf. I started in the seventh grade with a volunteer coach which has been the situation for every year I have played. I competed at the state level in both my seventh and eighth-grade years. My sophomore year, I was the only girl from Carrollton to advance to sectionals. My junior year I also advanced to sectionals. Being one of the older players on my team, I take initiative by helping the younger players by teaching them proper etiquette or giving them little tips. I hold several leadership positions in clubs at school and work very hard to keep straight A's in all of my classes. I believe with the right coaching, I can reach my full potential as a college athlete.
