My college goal is to get a four year scholarship in basketball and graduate with the emphasis of being a Conservational Officer. I take direction very well and am self motivated. What makes me a good candidate for your team? I take initiative and have a good work ethic! What sets me apart is how I learned that work ethic - being raised on a farm and helping my parents run our family owned businesses. I have to balance my farm chores, academics, and extra curricular activities all year round. Around the farm I feed our animals, raise chickens, wash cattle, and prepare our animals for shows. Being raised on a farm has taught me time management and how to work hard to get the results that I want. I was selected to be one of two recipients of the American Legion Award my 8th grade year - this is an award that I was nominated for by my teachers. It recognizes a student who excels in scholarship, positive leadership and good character. More recently I have been assisting my dad in our other business off the farm, he operates a sandblasting, powder coating and fabrication business. Here I have been learning about the behind the scenes operations and how to work with the public and provide a positive customer service experience. All of my off the court life experience reflects on the court in how I interact with other players, help lead my team and work hard to achieve the team goals.
