Starting out with some rented clubs at a driving range with my Grandpa I immediately fell in love with the golf. I trained the entire summer leading up to high school in hopes of making the high school team. Covid was a big impact. With many facilities around me closed I went to a field in my backyard and used some foam golf balls and a lot of YouTube videos to better my swing.
I made Jv my first year and learned many important things throughout the season. I learned the ability to focus and the mental aspect of the game as well as sacrifice. I had to be able to balance late night practices with homework and other activities. It was all worth it when I got first place in conference and helped Lincoln-Way East win the overall competition. Golf has taught me many skills such as being a leader, sportsmanship, dedication and other life long skills.
