Personal Statement
I was 11, when me and my dad were driving by a golf course and I said that I would like to learn how to play golf. My dad got me a set of used kids clubs, and made me hit balls for a year in our back yard and at the local driving range before I actually got to play on a golf course. That led to my playing on the PGA Junior team at Gorham Country Club, where I have worked for the last three years. I love the game, and the fact that you really can't beat it. I enjoy the hard work necessary to be good at golf, and am usually the first person at practice and the last one to leave. I work hard as the captain of my high school golf team, and equally hard to get better on the course and in the classroom. My goal for my college years is to play on a competitive golf team where I can contribute and make an impact.
