Gabrielle Wierda '17 Recruiting Profile

From the age I could hold a golf club (3), I have loved the game. I started playing competitively on the Meijer Junior Tour when I was 10. Ever since I started competing in tournaments, I developed the dream to become a collegiate golfer. When I'm out on the course, I have a very strong mental game as well as a strong short game. In addition to golf,  when I think about college, I think about great academics. I am a very strong student in the class room and am looking for the best academic school to continue on my education. I am also a strong leader both in school and in golf. I was elected on to student government as my class treasurer my freshman year and continue to serve this position today. I also was chosen to be my golf team's captain as a Junior. I have such a strong passion to learn and compete and hope to continue on my golf career in college.
