My academic and athletic journey has included many hours of study and practice. I am deeply committed to the daily hours of golf practice while handling a challenging class schedule. I have the discipline to stay on top of my schoolwork and be fully engaged in practice and competition. Currently, I hold a 4.071 GPA with several advanced courses. I have a goal to maintain this GPA throughout high school.
As for my golf journey, I have played for most of my life. However, my first time competing in tournaments began my freshman year of high school. Knowing that a lot of my competition is more experienced in competitive golf has motivated me to put in the eight hours per day of practice to improve my scores. Nobody outworks me. I’ve seen and continue to see progression and better control in my golf, especially in my short game. I use multiple drills to fine-tune my form in all aspects of my putting, chipping, and hitting and have a great team of coaches I work with. I participate in a golf-specific fitness program to maximize my strength and this year I have been implementing DECADE strategy to my game. I have a more confident edge than ever before, with an aggressive tournament schedule. I’ve set goals to reach a scoring average of 75 this year. My goal before starting my senior year is to get my average down to 72 and down to 70 prior to college.
