I have been playing golf since I was three years old. I have aspired to play at the collegiate level since I was 10 years old.
Going into my junior year of high school, my goal is to consistently score in the low 80s and ultimately break 80! At my first tournament this summer, the state junior championship, I did not play my best overall, but there was a moment of glory when I shot a 39 on the front 9 which is the best round I had ever played. The rest of the tournament however, afforded me the opportunity to realize goals for this year and areas to improve- the mental aspect of golf.
I am very coachable and have a great work ethic both on the golf course and in the classroom. I love the competitive aspect of golf.
In the classroom, I am able to stay on top of studying and classwork while maintaining rigorous sport seasons (both golf and track) and a high GPA. I also volunteer at the local library and food bank.
I want to attend a college where I can gain valuable skills for life and career as well as realize the potential I have that my coaches, family, friends, and I have always believe that I posses. I am open to all options and want to ultimately find the right college that matches my academic and golf goals.
