Hi, my name is Taylor Raffety and I just finished my junior year at Three Forks High School. I started golfing my freshman year and have seen significant improvement over the past three years. I love golfing because it is both a team sport and an individual sport and the harder I work the greater the rewards are. This year I was team captain of our varsity and helped us to a first place finish at Divisionals which has been a highlight of my career so far. I have plans to participate in many tournaments this summer and have already seen a big improvement in my scores since my highschool season ended not quite a month ago. I would love to be able to golf at the next level to also achieve a higher education and continue competing in a sport that I have a passion for.
I also have a love for hunting and fishing. I am fortunate to live very close to many opportunities to do both. There is a lot of responsibility and patience required with both of those activities. These characteristics have also helped me become a better golfer.
I work very hard to be the best athlete, student, and individual I can be. I am very organized and always have everything done well ahead of time. I have had a competitive drive and pushed myself to excel since a very young age. For example, I began playing the fiddle competitively at five years old and continued over the next six years. The fiddle requires a lot of dedication as it is something you must practice very often to excel at. I have also played many sports growing up including: soccer, softball, volleyball, basketball and track. However, golf has been the sport that keeps me coming back day after day because of the improvement I see every time I play.
