Hello coaches!
My name is Madelyn Savary and will be graduating high school in 2027. Being from Northern New England helps make me a gritty player. I've played regularly in very poor conditions and thrive on the challenges of playing in an area not suitable for year round golf. Although there are some disadvantages of living in a northern state when it comes to golf, it's also helped me to build character. What makes me different from some other players is always keeping calm while on the course. I don't get too high or low. I understand that it's never worth being so upset that you cost yourself additional strokes just because of a poor attitude. Staying calm even when I'm struggling doesn't mean a don't care, it actually means that I care a lot. In addition to golf, I play varsity field hockey and think it's important to keep active in areas other than golf so I don't overuse or strain muscles by only playing golf.
As I go through high school, I'll be playing more significant tournaments such as the U.S. Challenge Cup, Peggy Kirk Bell and AJGA events as well as USGA qualifiers. When practicing, I'll be playing from 6,000+ yards. As I continue to grow and develop my game, my primary goal is to shoot lower tournament score with higher finishes, become a plus handicap and generate more consistency in my game as I seek to become a successful college golfer. I'm committed to putting in the work to achieve those goals and become a great contributing member of a college golf program.
Thank you for reading!
