I started golfing roughly over three years ago. I decided to get into it because my dad would let me drive the cart around while he would play and it looked fun. I grew up watching golf on TV. I'd always pay attention to Rory McIlroy and Tiger Woods. I got to watch Tiger in person! This year, as a junior in high school, I started to take golf seriously. I started in a junior league three years ago at Oberlin Country Club, and this is the first year I joined Elyria Catholic Golf. I didn't see myself being serious about golf when I started, but when I saw my improvement in just three years, I knew I could be very successful. The best part about golf is being able to control my feelings and only worry about the ball in front of me and nothing else. It's a personal sport, not a team sport. I love being on a team don't get me wrong, but I love nothing more than to just be in my world happy on a golf course. I would love to take golf to the maximum level. I admire all the female golfers, especially young ones because you don't see them a lot.
