Mia LEWIS '25 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Mia Lewis, and I am a junior at Pickerington North High School on the east side of Columbus, Ohio. 

My father is a lifelong avid golfer, and I decided to join him and pick up the game in July 2020, just a month before my 8^th grade year. I immediately caught the golfing bug and was hooked! I began working with golf instructor Matt Smith in October 2020 and have been striving to improve my game ever since. While I got a late start, I have been working hard, and was the #1 golfer on my high school team this season. I am a three-year varsity letterman and our teams MVP. My lowest tournament score to date is a 77 at Pine Hill Golf Course. Most recently, I played at Blacklick Golf Course, where I shot 83 at the D1 sectional finishing 7^th out of 63 golfers. My 2023 high school average is an 82, and I shot my lowest score, a 71, during my high school golf tryouts August 1st, 2023.

As a student-athlete, I have consistently demonstrated commitment both on and off the golf course. I currently maintain a 4.16 GPA and I am ranked 37 in my class of 461. I enjoy golf because it connects to my other passion, which is math. I love all the calculations and analysis that are involved with playing golf. Academically, I am taking a full AP course load to help me prepare for my college career.

My dream is to play golf at an institution that would not only challenge me academically, but also allow me to expand my horizons and grow as a person.
