My name is Ava O'Sullivan. Golf is an individual and a team sport and I love both aspects. I have been described as an intense player. I don't wilt under pressure and that drive helped me win my league championship for high school golf, win my district tournament for high school golf, and finish 3rd in the Pennsylvania Girls AAA Individual State Championship as a junior. As a freshman, I helped lead my high school team to a runner-up finish at the Pennsylvania Girls AAA Team State Championship.
Golf is a game of integrity, discipline, and creativity which are attributes of the game that appeal to me. In addition to high school golf, I have played in events on the Philly PGA Junior Tour, Hurricane Junior Golf Tour, and American Junior Golf Association. Outside of golf, I volunteer weekly at my church. I also play violin in the school's full orchestra and chamber orchestra.
Golf has helped me grow as a person, build relationships with interesting people who I would never have met, and compete at a high level. Playing college golf is a goal of mine because I want to continue to grow as a person and as a player. I feel that my creativity, maturity, and discipline would make a great addition to a team.
