Personal Statement

I feel that I am a great addition to any school. I am a high honors student, an interactive member of school clubs, and a person who is always there to help members of my community. I am a self-motivated and committed student-athlete. My golf game has been steadily improving over the past few years. My goals and aspirations would be to have tremendous success on the golf course and in the classroom.

  • AwardsRon Oliver Award (Grade 8): The Principal’s Award American Legion Honorable Mention (Grade 8) Star Student (Female) Award (Grade 8) Student of the Month (Grades 8 and 9): Voted by teachers. Student of the Year (Grade 9): Based off of the students of the month for each school year, the teachers and principals chose and overall student of the year. There is one winner for each grade level. Extra Effort Award (Grade 10 and 11): Voted by teachers. High Honor Roll (Grade 9 - current): To be on the High Honor Roll you must have a GPA that is 3.5 or higher. National Honors Society (Excepted in Grade 11): To be accepted you must have a GPA of 4.0 or higher, and you have to then fill out an application that includes community service, being involved in your school, and an essay.
  • ActivitiesStudent Council (Grade 8): The club is in charge of various activities throughout the school year. I was the secretary, and I was on the 8th Grade Dinner Dance Committee. Freshman Leadership: Leaders of the groups hold various activities to mentor new freshmen throughout the school year. M.A.M.A. (Montour Association of Marketing and Advertising) (Grades 10 - current): The club is in charge of various activities and events throughout the school year, including many that give back to the community. It is quite an honor to be apart of this club in our school district because we are very well-known throughout the community and are one of the most successful clubs in name of Montour School District. A few that I lead myself are “Spring Kick-Off With M.A.M.A.,” “Santa’s Night Out,” “A Lovely Night Out,” and “Family Movie Night.” Other than the “Family Movie Night” event, the other events contain a night full of activities for children aged pre-k through 4th grade which our club members babysit and give parents a much-needed night out. Each event raises about $300.00. Community Service: St. Malachy Church Fish Fry St. Malachy Church Flea Market St. Malachy Church Knights of Columbus: Spaghetti Dinner and Assisting the Treasurer Playing the Piano: At Willow Lane Assisted Living At Manor Care of Greentree Robinson Township Spring Clean-up Assisted with the March of Dimes Birdies for Babies Campaign Assist older people of the community in various household / farming chores: My grandparents My neighbors Assisted coaching of the 5th and 6th Grade Girls’ Basketball Teams Assisted in opening a local golf range Assist the LaMarca Foundation golf fundraiser Run the scoreboard for Montour High School Baseball Work in the concession stand for Robinson Township Baseball and Montour High School Baseball Babysitting: Since I was around the age of 12 I have been babysitting my two younger siblings, various children around the neighborhood, two families in my community consistently. The youngest age that I have babysat is 9 months. Caddying for my dad, who is a professional golfer Country Club Gardens: This is a local landscaping and snow removal company that I have worked for in both landscaping and snow removal.
