Carly Kunkel '20 Recruiting Profile

Golf has played a large role in my life from an early age.  It became a competitive passion for me around the fifth grade.  I have made many friends through sports and learned a lot about myself.  Athletics has helped me develop my leadership qualities and my competitive nature, along with my desire to excel. 

Many years of competitive golf and basketball have taught me to push myself and my teammates to be the best we can be.  My first season on the O'Gorman High School Varsity Golf team, we did not win the state tournament after being picked as favorites.  I believe that experience taught me more than any of my successes.  I learned you have to work through adversity and how important teamwork is in an individual sport.  I'm confident that I have the qualities to compete at the college level.  My goal is to continue my education at a school that will challenge me in academics and athletics alike.  I think I could make a great addition to your team and will continue to work hard to show my potential.
