Personal Statement

My competitive golf experience has consisted of the past 2 years, but I have been fascinated with golf since I was 5. I love golf because the sport allows you to tackle a lot of physical and mental challenges, like getting stuck behind a tree, or trying to give that driver 10 more yards. Golf has taught me how to slow down and take every challenge as it comes, it has also taught me to be less focused on the competitor and more on the game itself.

My team experience with Jr.PGA has helped me learn how to better communicate with other teammates. For example, I was paired with a younger team member and my coach helped me realize that if I talked her through the shots it will help calm her mind and improved both of our mindsets and shots.
