Personal Statement
My name is Brooke Gelinas, and golf has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. My Dad being a golf professional got me my first set of clubs as soon as I could walk, and the rest is history. I have worked extremely hard since I was about 9 years old to one day have the opportunity to play college level golf. I've spent countless hours playing, practicing, and doing drills just trying to better myself and my game each chance I get. Through golf I have learned so much about myself and how driven I am when I have a goal in mind. I feel like my mental understanding of the game is one of the things that sets me most apart from others. My high school coach Anna Rose taught me how important it is to have a positive outlook no matter what is happening during my round, or outside of golf all together. In addition to golf I really focus on academics. I have maintained a 4.0 GPA all throughout high school and this year I was inducted into the National Honor Society. I am excited to keep learning and I can't wait to see what the future holds!
