Personal Statement
I came to the game late in life compared to others. I picked up my first club at 13. To my shock and awe, at 14, I was the sole Freshman to make the High School Varsity Team.
Now, a Junior on the Varsity Team, I have aspirations of being a collegiate golfer. I have the drive and motivation not only to put in the necessary hours of practice, but to constantly become a better player. When I step on a golf course, practice, or tournament, I take that opportunity to push myself just a little more and little further.
As much as I love golf, my first love was learning. At the innocent age of four, I declared to the librarian that I was “an informational kind of kid!” I’ve always done well in school because I truly enjoy it. I’ve leaned in to academics, trying my hand at Destination Imagination, advanced classes, and hands on learning. All of which has lead me toward my fascination in STEM and ultimately leading me toward a planned future in Civil Engineering.
