Dear Coaches,

I feel that I would be a perfect candidate for your team because I work hard day in and day out. There is never a day that I am not working on improving my game in some sort of way. I feel that I am a very coachable athlete and will listen and follow given instructions. I am currently on three different teams, and I am the top scorer on all of them. Only one of the teams I play on has captains, and I was nominated by my teammates and coaches to fill that role. I am truly honored to have received the title has captain, because I am able to inspire my teammates to try their hardest on and off the ice by encouraging words and leading by example. I believe I am the perfect candidate for any team because I always try my hardest in not only hockey, but my academics as well. I am very passionate about what I do, therefore I will constantly try to improve in every way possible and I will not stop until I have achieved my goals. In short, I believe that I am a very valuable athlete because I constantly work at my game, I am a great leader to my teammates, I am ruthless and never give up, and I believe that I am a great fit for any team.
