Personal Statement

Hello,

  • My name is Caitlin Kelley.  In academics I take my studies seriously.  I have to work extra hard in the classroom and it  pays off, as I am an honor roll student.   I am really passionate about ice hockey. I fell in love with this sport, the very first time I set foot on the ice, when I was five. In the winter, my Dad would always build a rink in my backyard for my sister and I. As I was skating around, I immediately asked if I could join a team and that was exactly what I did. I would never regret that decision. Whether it is a late night, or early morning practice, an extra lifting session or watching film, I love it all. However, what I love the most is being apart of a team. I love that sense of family the sport brings.   What makes me a good candidate for a team is my positive attitude and commitment. I am always cheering my teammates on and being supportive to everyone.  I will do the best I can do on and off the ice. One characteristic about me is how coachable I am. I love to hear my coaches input and I use their knowledge to inspire me and to help me improve my game. I push myself every day so I can come closer to achieving my dream of playing at the next level.

I look forward to talking to you and learning what your program has to offer in both  athletics and academics.

Thank you,

Caitlin Kelley

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
