I started playing hockey when I was 6 years old. I played on a Boys PeeWee team to be exposed to harder shots, and skated out for the Girls because I know it is important for goalies to be good skaters and have good stick handling skills. I will also be skating out for a Town Team in the Fall of 2024 just to have fun outside of the crease!
I have been the starting goalie for my High School’s Varsity team since 8th grade and will have 5 years of HS hockey experience.
One of my favorite experiences was the CCM tournament in Dallas because we won the Championship with a shutout against a team we lost to in the first game. I came in on a late flight and drove straight to that first game from the airport. It taught me the importance of being prepared.
I train with my uncles’ goalie who has The Mental Goalie School. He helps me analyze video and helps me with pre-game rituals and mental preparation, which is very helpful in all parts of life.
Jeremy Swayman, one of my favorite hockey players, also taught me that you always have to give 100% even at practices. His good effort paid off because, as he said, "you never know who is watching".
