Personal Statement

My name is Kimmy Lucier and I'm a 2021 at Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School in Sudbury, Massachusetts.  I've been a four-year starter as a right winger (#5) on the varsity hockey team while also being a starting right flank striker on the varsity soccer team since freshman year.  I started skating at 3 and joined a boys' hockey league at age 5 playing through Pee Wee.  In sixth grade, I made the Assabet Valley Girls Hockey club team and played center and wing through ninth grade.

My interest in hockey started when I would go to the rink to watch my two older brothers play hockey.  It was fun to play shinny hockey with my brothers and their friends on our backyard rink when I scored on boys five years older than me.  Playing with boys made me aggressive to the puck and determined to win every 50-50 battle.  I've learned to use my speed, passing, and ability to see the ice to become a leading playmaker and scorer on my team.  Obstacles that have made me tougher and mentally stronger are adapting my play to different coaching styles and training methods. I have learned to train as hard as I can and do what is needed to contribute to the team and be a team leader.  Throughout my years of skating, my love for the game has remained unchanged since I first laced up.  My skating, stick handling, and vision are my strongest assets combined with my work ethic and leadership skills.

Academically,  I take school seriously and enjoy English, Law, and Math.  I plan to major in Liberal Arts with a concentration in Business.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
