I am an enthusiastic athlete, student and friend whose background in Junior Olympic gymnastics taught me to balance my academic, athletic and musical goals from a very young age. I believe that my lifelong comfort with this degree of time constraint will allow me to find success in both the classroom and the pool in college. I work hard to have a mutually respectful relationship with my coaches, which allows me to achieve the greatest benefit from their experience and to trust in their vision of what I am capable of. Supporting others on the team, both in competitions, at practice and in their everyday lives, is equally important to me, and I strongly feel these relationships are an essential part of a successful, driven and healthy team. I plan to apply these characteristics of dedication and hard work to my college diving career, where I hope to have a positive impact on the team, and also to a degree in the biological sciences, as I pursue a career in a medical field.
