Hi, my name is Jolie Vaiana. I am a 2007 birth year, and I am currently a sophomore at Montclair Kimberly Academy in Montclair, New Jersey. Since my third grade year in 2016, I have been part of the New Jersey Bandits girls program located at the ice vault in Wayne, New Jersey. Throughout the years, I have grown and developed myself as a player, and I now currently play for the 16U Elite New Jersey Bandits girls team, coached by Brooke Ammerman Reimer (former University of WI player). I am a starter for my team, and my primary position is right wing. In addition to practicing and playing on the Bandits, I have been taking private training lessons since my first year of playing ice hockey to grow my hockey IQ and on-ice skills. When I am not training on the ice, I have a personal crossfit trainer, Nicole DeCarlo, that has consistently trained me since my sixth grade year in 2019. As well as crossfit, I have been playing soccer since 2012 with the Wyckoff Torpedoes Club team. Last year was my first year playing soccer at a high school level. As a freshman, I was a starter on my high school varsity soccer team. During the off-season, I train at Prentiss Hockey Performance in Stamford, Connecticut. As a multi sport athlete, I am very coachable, and I am a very well-rounded player on the ice. I am constantly relied on for penalty kills, power plays, overtime 3 v 3’s, and shoot outs. My team has made it to the USA hockey nationals for the past two years. As I mentioned before, I attend Montclair Kimberly Academy (MKA) as class of 2026. MKA is an extremely academically challenging and competitive school. I am a straight A student and maintain a 4.0/4.0 unweighted gpa. I take multiple honors classes, and have received high honor roll for both semesters of the year. Outside of academics and athletics, I do community service for Toni’s Kitchen, located in Montclair, New Jersey. As well as having the goal to go to an academically rigorous school, I have the goal of playing DI or DIII ice hockey in college.
