Hello, My name is Olga Lobaczewski, and my hockey journey began in 2020. The spark for my love of the sport ignited while attending a New York Islanders game, prompting me to pursue learning how to play. Starting as a 9th grader among 8-9 year olds in a learn-to-play program, I swiftly progressed and secured a spot on a 14u/16u A team, honing my skills. Over time, I bridged the gap, advancing to a 19u AA team, now competing with players my age.
My success stems from a blend of passion, determination, hard work, and a commitment to improvement. Looking ahead, I aspire to extend my hockey career at the NCAA level. I embrace the physicality of the game and dedicate extra time to training, aspiring to be the best version of myself.
Beyond the rink, I uphold a high standard of academic excellence, aligning with my goal of securing the best college opportunities. I actively seek challenges, not only on the ice but also in the classroom, where I embrace a demanding course load. In addition to academics, I participate in various extracurricular activities. Despite facing a lengthy two-hour (one-way) subway commute to school, I effectively manage my time to excel in all parts of my education and personal development.
Thank you for considering my story, and I eagerly anticipate the opportunity to connect with you further.
