About a year and a half ago when I was in 7th grade I decided I wanted to play hockey. Since then, hockey has become a passion of mine. When I’m not on the ice at an official team practice or clinic I am spending time daily practicing at home (stick handling, working on the balance board and shooting 300-500 pucks a day). My goal is to play hockey in college and possibly even make it to the Olympic team one day. I feel like I would be a good candidate for your team because I display great sportsmanship, am a team player and always put one-hundred percent of myself into practicing and training to get better. I want to learn. I want to be coached. I want to keep improving. I am motivated and know I can accomplish my goals if I continue to work hard and stay focused.
Academically I have made honor roll each quarter in high school. I take my school work seriously and advocate for myself if I need extra help or support in a subject area. Maintaining a high GPA is important to me so I work hard to stay on top of my grades and assignments.
