When I commit to a College/University I am dedicating more than my athletic abilities to the program, I am dedicating my work ethic, strong character, leadership, resilient and have great integrity and respect that makes me , my family and the College I attend proud. These are the blocks to which my foundation is made and I want to find a College that emulates these same values.
My aspirations as a collegiate athlete are to get a quality education in Sciences' while playing the sport I love. I know the importance of a good education that will help pave the way for my future after graduating, but equally important are the relationships I make along the way playing Ice hockey as a Goalie which I know will last a life time.
Academically I have established a strong history of good grades that have seen me reach the status of Honors and/or Honors with Distinction in the last 5 years of school. I am continuously working on improving these grades as it is important to have these skills when I move on to post-secondary education.
I intially started playing hockey when i was 8 years old as a bonding experience with My brother and his friends.
Every winter they begged me to go on the outdoor rink and suit up as the goalie to they could take shots on me. Soon enough, I fell in love with the excitement of stopping my older brother and his friends shots. I was so intrigued when I would predict the plays that they would make to score on me.
Athletically, I am 100% dedicated to the sport of Hockey and I am continuously trying to improve my skill and strength to take me to the next level. I'm a strong Goalie who plays well and have a great vision with a high hockey IQ.
The most recent step in my hockey career was playing in the for the Gilmour Gladiators Tier 1 U16 AAA #35 as well as the U19 Gilmour Lancer Girls Prep Team as Goalie Jersey #1.
My continuous hard work has landed me as a Rookie Goalie for the Gilmour Lancer U19 Prep either sharing a game or playing a full game either starting or second half of the game going in cold . I get faster, stronger and more aggressive playing hockey and working out nearly 3 hrs a day. Now in off season, will workout more and attend some goalie camps and showcases where I can show my attributes on ice to collegiate showcases.
What makes me a great candidate for your Team and College/University, is that I know what hard work can get you. I do know what it takes to work hard for something. I have proven that with a strong work ethic, along with character, leadership, integrity and respect you can accomplish your goals.
A lot of things have shaped me and helped me become the person I am today. I have overcome moving away from my parents , to pursue hockey for a more accurate colligent experience. Moving away from home has taught me to become more independent. Prep school has defintaly prepared me more for what college is going to be like and taught me how to manage my academics as well as high intencity hockey.
I live for hockey and my life goal is to being a Ice hockey goalie with getting a college/University education. In addition to hockey, I also played competitive Lacrosse, basketball and volleyball.I also am an outdoor enthusiast with my love of Camping, fishing, Quading, Swimming, down hill skiing & Snowboarding.
Academically I am very strong in Math, Sciences, English, completing French level 4/AP. This leads me in thinking that I would like to pursue an education in the field of Science/Sports medicine.
