My name is Serena Silva. I am a hockey player from Milton, Ontario and entering ninth grade.
I have played hockey since I was four years old, and my passion for the game has grown every year. I love hockey, whether it is training, practices, games, or tournaments; it is the best part of my day. Hockey has taught me self – discipline, hard work, leadership and most importantly, being a good teammate.
I have been known for my speed and puck carrying skills, but I have been recognized most for my hard work. I constantly push myself to be the best I can be and give my full effort no matter what. I am known to be very aggressive on the puck, consistently backchecking and always battling.
My goal is to make a D1 hockey team and achieve my goals athletically and academically. I want to play University hockey because I want to play at the highest level, I want to push myself to compete with great players. However, I also am strong academically. I am bilingual and participate in the Extended French program in high school, as well as Advanced Program in Science and English. For the 2023 -2024 season, I will be playing for the North Halton Twisters U15 AA team. Playing hockey has changed me in so many ways, and I hope to continue into the highest level with a good education. I hope to inspire those in my community to believe you can do anything you set your mind to.
