Lauren Mongrain '22 Recruiting Profile

I was born in Duluth, Minnesota but I am a Canadian/American dual citizen. Growing up I played hockey in Washington state but in 2016 I was offered a spot on the girls' varsity team at Okanagan Hockey Academy.  I have played defense all my life but in the spring of 2018 I had the opportunity to play forward for my team and loved it.  I decided to switch to forward and I am currently playing wing.  Because of my strong defensive skills, I love going out on penalty kill as either a forward or defense.   I also love to box and play squash, and in my downtime I enjoy reading and painting.
