Hello, my name is Sophia Carile. I am a junior graduating in 2027. I am a right defenseman for the U18AA St. Catharines Jr. Badgers.
In hockey, my goal is to be accepted to a Division 1 College or University. Right now I am working to be the best athlete and person I can be. I strive for improvement every time I step on the ice. No matter if it is a practice, workout, off-ice session, video session or game, I always put in my best effort and take every opportunity to better myself. My strong suits in hockey are passing and play making ability in the defensive, neutral and offensive zones, patience and vision with the puck, being physical in the defensive zone to confidently win puck battles and my shot, especially during power play opportunities.
As a person, I feel I am very kind, welcoming, honest, passionate and hardworking. Not only do I work hard in hockey, I am also very diligent with my academics. I manage to balance sport and school life efficiently by maintaining grades above 90%. As an athlete I feel it is important to maintain good grades, balance sport commitments, and have good time management skills in order to be successful on and off the ice.
