My name is Reagan Mitcheltree and I am currently in my senior year at Notre Dame High School in Easton, Pennsylvania. While attending a Women’s Ice Hockey Camp at the University of Maine, I injured my ankle and was attended to by an athletic training student. It was this experience that sparked my interest in Sports Medicine and Athletic Training.
I am currently playing for the U19AA NJ Rockets under the coaching of Jeremy Jacobus. Prior to this season, played for the Lehigh Valley Phantoms Youth Girls program since 2016. Phantom’s Coach Philip Natosi, trained me for five seasons at both the U16 and U19 levels. As one of the first members of this newly formed program, I enjoy helping grow the program by working with younger players at my rink and camps to become better players on and off the ice. I am a stay-at-home defenseman, and my specialties include shot blocking, physical play/crease clearing, strong outlet passes and a high hockey IQ.
Continuing to fuel my passion for college level hockey, I had the opportunity to play and learn from former and current D1 players (Celine Tedenby and Maddie Giordano) at Kents Hill Sports Camp and this past summer (2022), I had the privilege of playing in two tournaments with Alyssa Wruble. All of these ladies play/played at the University of Maine. I was selected to play for the Ashely Wade U17 Warriors at the Militia Cup in Boston this past summer where our team finished 2nd.
As a 4-year, double varsity athlete at Notre Dame High School, I play both ice hockey (co-ed) and I am a thrower (Discus/Javelin) for track and field. This past year I’ve been a consistent Honor Roll student and have been a part of many clubs such as Yearbook, German Club, and Key Club. I also attend the Notre Dame Varsity Football games as an assistant to the team’s doctor (Dr. Justin T. Binstead) and head athletic trainer (Alianna Hale).
This past summer (2023) I was selected to be a counselor at Kent's Hill Sports Camp. This will be a 7-week commitment and I will have the opportunity to help younger hockey players become the best they can be both on and off the ice.
I look forward to hearing from you about how I could fit into your 2024/25 roster.
Continued success,
Reagan Mitcheltree
