My name is Rylan Peska and I attend Harrisburg High School in Harrisburg, SD. After graduating, I hope to continue my athletic career in hockey and continuing to play the sport I have loved from the start of my career. Aside from hockey, I play high school soccer (2022 state champions) and club soccer (placed 3rd at USYS National Championships), chair in my school’s student council, a part of National Honours Society, work, and complete service projects. Student leadership at my school and during sports has taught myself a great deal about what it means to be a true leader and have character by stepping up to be a better person. In the last year, I have faced many set backs regarding medical issues that affected my athletic performance; however, after getting the help I needed, I learned that perseverance is one of my main strengths. Similarly, I learned that setbacks are the best form of reality to motivate yourself to be the best version you can be. On the school side, I am taking 2 Advanced-Placement classes, and plan to take Dual Credit classes in the spring. I take pride in my academics and success in the classroom just as much as I do in athletics. I am excited to further my recruitment journey and show what I have to offer!
