Personal Statement

On the field, I am passionate about being the most dynamic defender outside the 8, inside the 8, and behind the goal.  I take immense pride in giving my goalie the best chance to be successful and in defensive stops that involve the entire team. I want to continue to lead all the defensive units I play with by example, influence, aggressiveness, and proper communication.  Additionally, I want to continue to grow both physically and mentally throughout all my lacrosse experiences. I do this by being inquisitive and ensuring I am understanding the “why” associated with the drills and skills. I often spend a lot of time time on  asking my coaches questions making sure I am doing the drill or skill properly.  I always want my feedback to continue to revolve around my coach-ability and my understanding that I will always make mistakes and how I can and that I want to always improve. I believe in showing respect on the field and lifting my teammates up with encouragement and good sportsmanship. Lastly, I believe in conducting myself with honor and respect on and off the field, knowing that the way I carry myself reflects my teams, my coaches and my school.

Off the field I take similar approaches to my academics.  As I progress through high school and into college I understand and anticipate the need for good time management and focus for my studies.  For now, I am interested in exploring social sciences  focusing on sociology.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
