Hello there! My name is Caley Lay and I am a 2021 goalie hoping to play lacrosse in college! In my future college experiences, I would love to earn my degree for Speech Pathology/Linguistics and help other people who have received head injuries much like myself. I also hope to meet new and interesting people through my classes as well as my lacrosse team.
My leadership skills on and off the field as well as my dedication and commitment to bettering my skill set and my team makes me a well rounded person and sought after athlete. Improving my skill set is very important to me so I am the best that I can be as well as helping my teammates perform to their ultimate ability. A passionate goalie makes for a stronger and more elite team!
As I am sure that many of my aspirations for my college career are very similar to other prospective athletes in my same position, I have something that sets me apart from the rest. About a year and a half ago, I was the first person ever in my family to get diagnosed with Crohn's Disease, so not only was I fighting on the field for my team and my coaches, I was also fighting for myself to keep my health where it should be. Lacrosse is my out to all the pain and suffering I endure on a daily basis and is always the highlight of my day. As a hopeful college prospect, I promise to work hard for my team and to remind myself everyday that what I am doing is worth fighting for!
