Throughout my life, I have always been the sports child. Aside from Girl Scouts, my extra curriculars were always sports related. Growing up I started playing basketball at a young age where I fell in love with the high intensity and the competition of the game. Basketball is where I first learned the fundamentals of playing sports.
I never knew about the sport of lacrosse until high school, where my passion for the sport sky rocketed. I found that same high intensity and competition in lacrosse that I loved, but the sport is also so much more. I started as an attackman and then switched to midfield where I could put my defensive skills from basketball to use. Throughout my first season I learned what it really means to be a teammate and that you never will reach your goal unless you work hard for it. Just after one year, I knew lacrosse was the sport for me, and that it would be the sport that I am willing to work hard for and excel in.
I constantly strive to better myself in lacrosse by studying lacrosse films, practicing the lacrosse techniques and putting my heart into every lacrosse game I play. I now know that my dream and goal is to advance to the highest level I can, for as long as I can and to play the sport that I love, lacrosse.
