A student athlete is someone who must possess certain qualities such as persistence, leadership, respect, drive and great team-working skills. I feel like these are definitely traits my coaches and teammates would say describe me as a team member. Not only on the field, but in how I carry these skills into the classroom and in day-to-day life.
Lacrosse is a sport I love, and that includes the teammates and coaches guiding me. I’ve learned to rely on them and trust them both on and off the field. Being part of a team is truly what I love and when I’m my happiest self! It’s important to me that my teammates and I are also great friends, bonding over early morning practices, tough losses, big wins, and lots of laughs.
Balancing a 4.3 GPA, as well holding a part time job, running a small business with my friend, and playing lacrosse, has taught me that nothing comes easy, you have to balance your time and work for everything. I work extremely hard on improving my game, through MLXA and our high school Varsity team and I’m confident I’d be an awesome addition to a collegiate lacrosse program!
