A student athlete is someone who must possess certain qualities such as persistence, respect, drive and great team-working skills. My goal, as I connect with coaches and colleges to one day play lacrosse on the collegiate level, is to continue to grow in these traits. Not only on the field, but carrying these skills into the classroom and in day-to-day life.
Lacrosse is a sport I love, and that includes the teammates and coaches guiding me. I’ve learned to rely on them and trust them both on and off the field. My strong character and work ethic has allowed for me to grow as a player and become so much better, and it will allow me to continue to improve as an athlete and teammate.
Balancing a 4.3 GPA, as well as playing volleyball and lacrosse, has taught me that nothing comes easy and you have to work for everything. I worked extremely hard this year, improving every day of practice, earning a starting position on the varsity team as a freshman, and ultimately winning the State Championship with my team. These qualities lead me to believe that continuing to play lacrosse is the path I want to take and I will be a great addition to your team.
