Anya Bake '24 Recruiting Profile

**Update**-07/01/2023-I am honored to have been selected to the 2023 New England All-American team, competing in Baltimore July 27-29 and All-Star, CBL Undisputed D1 Showcase. 

Hi! My name is Anya Bake and I am a graduate year 2024 and have a strong commitment to play lacrosse on the collegiate level and excel academically in the health field. I have over 7 years of lacrosse experience including playing all years at the varsity level in high school and being a multi-year club player. I have found success by drawing skills and mental tenacity from my childhood, family, and other sports to include running, soccer, and alpine ski racing. I am returning this season from a devasting injury at the beginning of last season where I tore my ACL. Not to be deterred, I have spent all my rehabilitation time working diligently to return faster, stronger, and smarter. Additionally, I have used my time away from sport taking Advance Placement and Honors courses in Anatomy and Physiology, Calculus, and Chemistry, among others. I have fed my competitive spirit by joining the debate team and challenging myself intellectually.

I traveled to all of our high school games and club tournaments standing on the sidelines cheering for my teammates while listening and learning the game from the coach’s perspective. I have relished in the wins and felt the anguish of the losses. Yet, through this experience, I’ve become a better person, player, and teammate. I’m healthy, I’m ready, I’m strong, and I’m passionate. 

Fun Fact:  I was born in Krasnoyarsk, Russia!
