Personal Statement

As a lacrosse player, I am coachable, enthusiastic, hard working, and versatile. As a teammate, I constantly try to lift others up both on and off the field. I’ve always loved playing sports and I’ve always loved to compete. Lacrosse was introduced to me in the fourth grade and I immediately fell in love with the game. I enjoy how unique the sport is and how its uniqueness has helped me off the field as well. The sport has helped me learn that it doesn’t matter how many times you get knocked down, what matters is that you always get back up. This mindset and my overall grit have helped me excel in my career so far. I started playing club lacrosse in sixth grade, and I used it as an outlet to make new friends and step out of my comfort zone. Now, I play for PrimeTime Lacrosse based out of Westchester County, New York. In 2019, I made the varsity lacrosse team as a freshmen. I started and contributed in every game. I began the season as a defender, but then switched to attack, and eventually finished playing midfield. One of my best attributes as a person and a player is that I can adapt to different situations. In addition to my love of sports, I’ve always valued my academics. Similarly to how I am with lacrosse, I have always tried my very best in school never quitting or giving up. I hope to continue my lacrosse career in college and to continue working hard both on and off the field.
